Residential Window Tinting

house with tinted window
When it comes to window tinting, business owners are the most interesting ones, car users tend to like it, but homeowners don’t seem to be very much interested in it. Maybe this is because people don’t know the benefits of residential window tinting and we should raise more awareness on the matter. While window tinting is cheap it is also an option that brings many benefits to your home.

Heat Control
No one likes it when the sun is coming through the window into your room and making everything twice as hot inside. Sun’s UV rays can be dangerous for you and not having your window tint is one of the reasons why your house might be scorching during summer. Tinting the windows of your house can make sure that the sun rays are going to reflect and over 60 percent of the heat is going to be absorbed by the heat control film. Heat control can also contribute to saving energy with your air conditioner because you won’t need to turn it on as much.

Privacy Concern
I was in the Netherlands recently, in Rotterdam to be more precise and I witnessed something that left me wondering. While passing down a block I noticed how people lived on the first floor with windows open and not worrying if every passerby could see them. If they would know better, they could probably tint their windows and make sure that they can see outside while others from outside cannot see them. It is a matter of privacy after all. People are not supposed to see everything you do every day. We all have the right to our privacy.

Energy Saving
Trying to reduce the heat in your house while still keeping the same amount of light that comes through the windows sounds a bit impossible. After all, doesn’t all the heat come from the light that comes in? That is correct. But what if you can reduce the heat and still keep the same amount of light? Now it’s possible with an energy-saving film which is transparent and is going to make sure that the same amount of light enters your house but not the same amount of heat. This way you are going to save energy by not having to turn on the light and by not turning on the air conditioner either.

Decorative Film Tint
You can be very creative when it comes to window or door tinting. With the usage of decorative film tint, you can experiment and get some unique views. Whether is flowers or to make it seem like the glass is shattered, decorative window film tint can be very fun but at the same time, you should be careful to not overdo it. And you must also be careful to hire an expert because if it is done wrong, the result can look really bad.
